Yesterday I received a?wonderful?email with’these photos from Robin E. in Maine, who adopted blind Zach from us a couple of weeks ago. Her email subject line was “Thankful for Zach.” Robin wrote:
“Zach did so well at Thanksgiving, it was truly remarkable. We set up a bed for him under the coffee table for a safety zone, though during the meal he set himself up under the dining table!
Every day we learn something new about him! He’s funny and sweet and my guess is that at some point he had a wonderful life with someone. He gets all excited when I ask him if he wants to go to work and settles right down on his bed as soon as we get to the Bookstore [where Robin works], a perfect gentleman. Yet at home ( and at camp) he is active and playful and silly. Third picture down is him in a sleeping bag he stole! We love him and are so thankful to have him in our lives. And thankful to you both for rescuing him!”
Here he is under the table:
And in his sleeping bag (now that’s resourceful!):
Nothing makes us happier than see this kind of happy ending for one of our blind dogs. It is absolutely heartwarming. And we are so thankful there are special people like Robin and Laura in this world.
Thank you both!
While all the dogs are loved and in the very best of care at RDF……it is extra special when they get a family of their very own and can be spoiled rotten with all that extra attention. The info and photos of little Zach remind me of why rescue work is so important to me. God bless everyone involved in his story from start to finish.
He seems so happy to have all of the attention. And how adorable is that second photo of him on his bed with his little toy as his pillow. I don’t think anyone is surprised that he found a spot under the table just in case he was needed to retrieve any dropped food. Thank you for giving him a loving home!
So nice to see Zach happily settled in his forever home.Enjoy the good life Zach, you deserve it.
Can it get any sweeter? Blessings to the whole family.
That’s wonderful! Love the sleeping bag photo. It’s great that he has settled in and is so happy and giving so much joy in his new home.
I remember when the little fireplug arrived. It is so nice to get updates especially when they are this positive. Zack is a clever little dog. Being so cute doesn’t hurt.
This is so heartwarming!! Love that he has such a special loving family!
Zach is absolutely adorable! Good things come in small packages, don’t they?
What a Thanksgiving blessing!
I love that little impish face staring happily out from the stolen sleeping bag. What a happy story.
Thank you, Robin, for sharing photos and the story of Zach’s very fortunate new life — fortunate for Zach and fortunate for Robin. And a big thanks to Steve and Alayne for enabling this happy ending — you two are simply amazing! All of Steve’s posts are heartwarming, but this one stole my heart. Zach is one very lucky dog. Thank you!!
THANK YOU ROLLING DOG FARM FOR SAVING ZACK AND THANK YOU ROBIN FOR ADOPTING HIM! He is soooooooooooooooooo adorable!!!!
Zach’s pictures have just made my day!:-)
Happy endings, wagging tails at a cozy loving forever home. It just doesn’t get any better than that!
