Still Doing Her Thing

January 21, 2015

Sophie with toy

Alayne got this shot of blind Sophie with a rope toy last weekend. It was a year ago — on New Year’s Day 2014 — that we learned Sophie was diabetic, and what a roller coaster we went on for several?months, trying to get her glucose levels regulated. But here we are, in 2015, and she’s doing great. As you can see, she’s still into grabbing things and walking around the house with them. We told her that the soft rope toy was a much better choice than the block of wood she once walked around the house with.

She’s such a pretty older lady. Glad to see she’s feeling well and still takes that time to have fun.

Much better for the teeth, Sophie! When you said teeth, I wondered how Travis is doing?

Thanks for the update on Sophie! I’m so glad she’s doing well now. Good to see she’s made the switch from wood to rope! Fewer splinters and much less noisy when she drops it.

I guess Sophie has hung up her woodworking tool belt and has now taken up macram?!
It’s great to hear that Sophie is going well and for now!

So glad to see that RDF won $500. in the mini Shelter Challenge. Hooray! I guess the votes did go through. I think the second prize of pet beds is a really good one, too. And someone asked about Travis. How is he doing? Is his mouth still open enough so he can eat more solid food rather than slurping his meals?
