Shaking Off The Winter Blues

May 18, 2015

Wilbur on ramp 1

That rather flat-looking Chihuahua is one-eyed Wilbur, enjoying a warm spring day last week. I realized the title of this post should probably be instead, “Sleeping off the winter blues.” The ramp is a favorite place for days like that one, even with the sun isn’t really shining. The ramp heats up quickly and holds the warmth. Since Alayne took these photos early last week, the grass has really greened up, so it’s no longer looking so bare and clumpy.

Here’s another shot from the top of the ramp … that’s Sunny (the one with the deformed front leg) in the front and Bugsy out in the yard:

Finally, here’s Wilbur starting to wake up from his nap:

It’s hard to believe little Wilbur has been with us for over three years now. (In case you’re wondering, here’s his arrival blog post and one on his trip to the ophthalmologist.)?

I’m so glad the weather is getting nice for you guys up north so the doggies can get out and about in the sun. Or, at least out as far as the ramp, then a nap.
