Morning Sun

August 25, 2014

Tanner and friends in sun

Alayne took this photo early one morning just after we let the dogs out. That’s Bugsy on the left, Tanner in the middle, and Sunny, all enjoying the bright summer sun that was coming up in the east. (It’s so bright Tanner and Sunny look like they need sunglasses!) Much to our dismay, the trees are already beginning to turn, and the light is beginning to have that autumn feel to it, but we’re hoping to have many more days like this one left.

The gate to the ramp is closed because a certain three-legged handsome tan-and-white dog who shall remain nameless has decided he likes to run up to’the front porch first thing every morning … and pee on the corner post at the top of the ramp. Lovely. So now we keep the gate closed until we know he’s taken advantage of other opportunities to pee elsewhere in the front yard. Which is why these guys are all sitting there, waiting for?us to open the gate.

They look relaxed and comfy. It’s nice to see Sunny. It’s good his disposition has improved since he first came to the Farm. Hey, Tanner. You have a nice, big yard. Use it! ha ha Hope that everyone makes out fine on their vet trips.

That’s the closed-door phenomenon. Close a door, any door, and dogs will materialize to anxiously await its opening. Nice picture.

Our leaves are falling already too. The weather has been bizarrely cool this summer.

Enjoy your blog break and long weekend!
