Happy Endings

We’ve always been delighted when we could adopt out one of our disabled animals to an exceptionally loving family. People who want to adopt a special-needs animal are, by our definition at least, very special themselves. While we are no longer adopting out animals for the reasons outlined here, we thought you might like to see some of the wonderful happy endings we’ve had over the years, and here are some of our favorite ones. These are either the animal’s original story from our website or a subsequent blog post about his or her adoption:

  • Lucy the blind Dachshund (Blog)
  • Mink the wobbly cat (Blog)
  • Suzi the blind Cocker Spaniel (Blog)
  • Irene the one-eyed Shih Tzu (Blog)
  • Spencer and Katie the blind and deaf Dachshunds (Blog)
  • Charlie the once-blind Beagle
  • Ella the three-legged dog (Blog)
  • Creighton the blind puppy
  • Popeye the kitten with deformed legs
  • Twist the Dachshund with a deformed leg (Blog)
  • A double-adoption Baron the blind and deaf dog and Stoney the blind dog (Blog)
  • Nevada the blind puppy
  • Winchester the miracle cat
  • Bunny the three-legged cat
  • Stuart the deaf Beagle
  • Molly and Priscilla the blind Poodles (Blog)
