Apple blossoms

Just a quick blog post for a beautiful Friday morning (at least until thunderstorms roll in this afternoon!). I took this photo after breakfast?of one of our apple trees in full bloom. It’s that time of year again,?and the only thing I know is the blossoms just don’t last long enough! I meant to take some photos earlier in the week when we had more trees out in bloom, but missed my opportunity, thanks to a couple of torrential inch-an-hour downpours that knocked a lot of the blossoms off. The tree in the photo is the last one that still has a full complement of blossoms on it. We have corral panels around it because it sits inside one of the horse paddocks, and we didn’t want the blind horses walking or running into the tree. They’re not too happy about it because many of those apples fall inside the panels, but the horses still have all they can eat from apple trees hanging over the fence in other corners of the paddocks.

The beautiful blossoms of spring often don’t last long, for one reason or another, making them all the more precious. Love Blind Fuzzy 🙂

Hey Steve,~~waves hand~~ it’s me down here in Texas again. The link to the Animal Rescue contest site is not working. Gives me an error message. I can get to it from the Ranch Blog, though.

Karen, it’s fixed. Lost the link when I copied and pasted it in.
