I’ll Have A Snow Cone, Please

February 4, 2015

Soba with snow 4

Soba, our wobbly girl with cerebellar hypoplasia, loves to eat snow — especially after a fresh snowfall. But really, any time is a good time for a snow cone as far as she’s concerned. Yes, she has full access to fresh water, but she just likes to eat snow, and always has. I took these photos yesterday morning, after another several inches of snow came down on Monday and Monday night. Here she is going for a big mouthful:

As you can see, Soba?doesn’t get it all in but she’s working that tongue to get as much as she can:

Soba with snow 2

And more tongue action to finish off the snow cone, the first of many that morning:

Soba with snow 3

?Yum!?

I’m quite sure it tastes totally different, falling from the sky and frozen, versus coming out of the water pipe and in a bowl. Just a matter of taste, isn’t it Soba!

Oh my gosh, I didn’t realize Soba was still with you. That’s wonderful.

(I think her sister/brother? died many years ago. I hope I’m not putting my foot in anyone’s mouth.)

Tongue action photos – priceless. One suggestion, Soba – do not eat the yellow snow. 🙂

Oh how I love Soba and her spirit. She even thrived more when you relocated to N.H.

Delightful 🙂 Wishing for some Seattle snow now myself! (did I say that out loud)
    Soba is SUCH a beauty.

I think I remember her sister/brother from the blog when I first started reading – wasn’t she (he?) Noodle?

It’s so good to see Soba! She puts a warm smile on my face…even on a snowy day. : )
