Breaking In The New Gal

January 5, 2022

Well, it didn’t take long for our blind-and-deaf Pug, Stella, to begin sitting on our newest arrival, blind Honey. How Stella manages to “negotiate” this arrangement with the various dogs continues to be a mystery to us, but we’ve never heard or seen Honey object.

Only two dogs have so far managed to avoid this fate: Allie Mae and Bugsy, both of whom make it perfectly clear to Stella that they will NOT be sat upon! Everyone else eventually relents, even if some (like Tanner) growl their displeasure but then do nothing as Stella climbs aboard.

In this next photo, Cammie is probably saying to herself, “thank heavens she’s got someone else to sit on besides me….”:

And finally, there’s this one:

Adorable!! It’s like all the dogs understand they’re in a great place….so the don’t react negatively to most others dogs. As you say they just want to get on with life!!
God bless you for what you do.

Stella’s a pretty chunky girl! I’ll bet the others wish she was a Yorkie and not a pug! I see Honey has that long-suffering expression which is probaby familiar to all the other residents. 🙂

Cute photos, glad to see Honey has completely settled in to her new home.

You have to admit, that first photo is one of the funniest ever. Poor Honey. Stella appears pretty solid. I’m not sure that can be comfortable. But maybe she does keep her warm. Stella is one funny girl. What happens next? Does Stella lie down or just walk away when finished sitting?
