Another Friday Bonus Photo

October 3, 2014

Mountains in fall foilage October 2

We took that photo yesterday afternoon in one of our?hayfields, looking southeast towards Mount Starr King (the New Hampshire one, not the California one!). We have only one last beautiful sunny day left — that’s today — before a drenching rain arrives this weekend, so we think come Monday most of the leaves will be gone. Many trees have lost a lot of leaves already, but it’s still stunningly beautiful — as you can see!

And, well, just one more … Alayne took this next shot?on?Wednesday evening as the sun was going down behind the pond:

Your Friday Photos are always so beautiful, leaving the feeling that you surely live in one of the most pastoral parts of the country – a place that couldn’t be more healthy and healing to you as well as for your animals. Fall is an amazing time of year. Thank you for the great shots (and feelings.)

Lovely! Thank you so much for sharing.
I have a very soft spot in my heart for NH and VT. What I have seen and experienced of NH, in particular, has been delightful–because of the beautiful fall scenery and friendly people. Through your pictures I can enjoy reminiscing about my time there.
What a wonderful place to bring these four-footed who need your love and help..

We’re going to have the same rain and cold this weekend, too. But next week, it’s back to 70, which will be nice for a while longer. That second photo is gorgeous. What a great shot.

All the fall photos that you and Alayne take are wonderful, but the second photo here is absolutely stunning! That is the kind of picture I’d have blown up, framed and hung on the wall. Outstanding 🙂
